Alpaca are great! They’re a livestock with many pet-like qualities, such as recognizing their names and being adorable. They tend to be friendly, curious and fun to watch. They tend to be light on the land, create great garden fertilizer, and produce excellent natural organic fiber.

If you take on the responsibility of being an alpaca owner, you have the opportunity to create a truly immersive and pleasurable experience for your family. Prepare yourself with knowledge so that you can ensure your efforts will create an enjoyable experience. Train yourself to “see into the future” by recognizing problems before they arise. Acclimate yourself to the “feel of the herd”; alpacas will tell you many of their issues are if you know how to listen! Learn how to think like a professional herd manager so that you can intuitively care for and enjoy your herd.

Our American alpaca industry has a no-kill culture; we raise them for a lifetime. Preparing to take advantage of certain peaks in an alpaca’s life cycle is important to your alpaca endeavor. Learning how to manage your animals properly will contribute to your happiness, their happiness, and reduce expenditures. This seminar will help supply you with the knowledge that every alpaca caretaker needs to be a good manager and to prepare to profit.
